The social intelligence monitoring space is certainly heating up with more firms coming into the market almost weekly and more enterprises stepping up to participate in a social networking space defined by abundant choice between highly-differentiated content and intense competition for attention. From a research perspective, I believe we’ll see these tools used more and more as a benchmarking process around identified topics. I’m also very interested to see how firms will use these tools to monitor the share of voice of the enterprise (customers, suppliers, employees, affiliates, and executive teams) in comparison to individual voices •around a topic over time and how firms use social intelligence information to facilitate two-way dialogs.
